Volunteer Centenary City Ambassadors have helped us collect material for the archive, and curate the Centenary City exhibition. Some of their art works are also on display in the exhibition. The Ambassadors are a self-selected group who have joined the project for a variety of reasons at different times.
Ambassadors have had the chance to take part in skills-training workshops throughout the year. These have included archive workshops run by feminist archivist HerArchivist, documentary photography and zine making workshops run by photographer Laura Deane, Curatorial training from artist Kate Freeborough and museum professional Amber Greenall-Heffernan, as well as label writing training from our curator Tessa Chynoweth, and social media training by Social Media Makes Sense.
The dates for the Ambassador workshops are here. Dates for Ambassadors 22nd October 2018.
There is a facebook group for the Centenary City Ambassadors, which Ambassadors can request to join here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/centenarycity/
