POLITICS PROJECT

The Politics Project in collaboration with the Democratic Society have pulled together a growing list of great resources covering themes of devolution, brexit, migration, rights and identity. The Politics Project can also offer your students the opportunity to experience a digital surgery with local and national politicians.

THE PROUD TRUST

The Proud Trust has developed a fabulous selection of educational resources which are freely available to download from their website to include lesson plans, worksheets and games on themes of activism, LGBT history, rights and identity.   You can also download their great set of guides for young people on coming out and having faith in yourself.  

THE WOMAN'S SUFFRAGE PROJECT

The Women’s Suffrage Project hosts history and citizenship resources for schools, looking at women’s activism from the 17th century, to the growth of the suffrage movement in the 19th century and forward to contemporary democratic voices. Includes a database of 3,000 stories of the everyday women and men across the UK who fought for women to get the vote.

PARLIMENT UK

Parliament.uk website houses a wide range of teaching resources and lesson plans on the themes of democracy, representation and social action.

UK FEMINISTA

UK feminista have a wide range of resources for schools and youth groups on organising social action, lobbying politicians, using the media and setting up a feminist society.

SHOUTOUT UK

Shout Out UK is a youth network that builds and boosts political engagement by providing political literacy education and a platform for young people to share ideas and voice opinions. The website includes an online political literacy course plus a range of resources to support young people’s voice and on particular campaign issues.
