Centenary City Open Day – Pankhurst Centre

August 12, 2018 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

This year is 100 years since (some) women were given the right to vote! Although only some women could vote after 1918, the year marked a huge step forward in the campaign for women’s rights to political participation, and a whole host of events, exhibitions, tours, talks, and discussions have been scheduled to celebrate the centenary. The Pankhurst Centre are creating an archive of Manchester’s activity for the feminists of the future, and we want to hear from you! Come along to this Centenary City Open Day and donate any leaflets, photos and other material of Manchester’s #vote100 events for the archive. Your material might make its way into the archive, or even feature in our Centenary City exhibition!
