Press Red Conference – Turn the Silence Off
September 29, 2018 @ 9:30 am - 6:00 pm
Press Red’s flagship conference will this year be held at Lighthouse Church in central Manchester. Following on from its resounding success in 2017, this year’s event will be an amazing day aimed at inspiring you to join us in our fight against the violence and abuse suffered by women and girls across the world.
With leaders in their fields sharing their experiences, as well as the opportunity to connect with many organisations already working in this area, this conference is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the issues affecting so many.
The day will also contain music, drama and testimonies, an update on the future of Press Red, and there is also plenty of time set aside for networking, reflection, and browsing our partners’ stands.
A full list of speakers and partners will be available on the website closer to the event (www.pressred.org), but we are thrilled to announce that our main speakers are Elaine Storkey, author of Scars Across Humanity and a leading expert in the violence experienced by women all over the world, and Roxy Foulkes, a key figure in the fight against domestic violence, and an authority on Muslim-Christian relationships.
The main conference will end at 5pm, following which delegates are invited to an hour-long live panel discussion between some of our speakers.
Your ticket price includes lunch (vegetarian options are available) and all refreshments.
All speakers’ talks will be available online after the conference.
Join us for what will be a hugely stimulating and exciting day and find out how you can help to make a difference.
