Still I Rise – Trail around Manchester Art Gallery

As Manchester marks the centenary of women’s suffrage, The Travelling Heritage Bureau, a powerful collective of international women artists based in the North West, are coming together to create a pop-up, interactive trail around Manchester Art Gallery.

With film, sculpture, textiles, painting, music and poetry with cultural influences from Africa, Asia, Latin America and beyond, the women will lead you on a joyful journey of resistance, creativity and hope with echoes of women’s struggles across the world to be represented, respected and to be free.

Still I Rise is directed by Yusra Warsama, produced by Community Arts North West and Digital Women’s Archive North, in partnership with Manchester Art Gallery as part of Journeys Festival International.

This trail is FREE and will be suitable for all ages.
