The Pankhurst Centre’s Rise Voice Vote youth engagement project connects Manchester’s woman-led activism of past and present with local young people. The project seeks to inspire and support young people’s political participation and activism through shared stories, learning and celebration. 

The project was piloted in 2018 and worked with a diverse group of young people in schools, colleges, youth groups and alternative education settings across Manchester. Partner organisations included local women’s organisations,  politicians, campaigning groups and youth charities. 

The 2018 programme included a visit to the Pankhurst Centre, an in-school workshop, and a Campaign Hack Day at the People’s History Museum. Social enterprise Sharp Futures captured some of the activity from the Hack Day, which you can see in the the video below.
