100 years after (some) women and all men won the right to vote, we’re creating an archive of Manchester’s Vote100 activity. Have you been marking the centenary? Upload your photos, films, and thoughts to our Manchester; Centenary City map here.
Follow the link to Manchester; Centenary City Historypin Map
You’ll see this landing page:
if you scroll down, you’ll see the pins that other people have started to upload:
If you click on ‘Expand Map’ to the left, the pins appear on a map of Manchester!
To add a pin, click on ‘Add a pin’, which is here:
You’ll need to create an account to add a pin, but it’s very simple to do. You can sign in through facebook if that’s easier. Then just follow the instructions!
Et voila! Your picture has been added to the Centenary City Historypin and archive. Don’t forget to let us know how we can use the image. You never know, you might turn up in our exhibition!
We’re also hosting Pankhurst Pinning Parties at the Pankhurst Centre open days over the summer. There’ll be somebody on hand to help you pin, or collect any physical material on the following dates:
Sunday 10th June, 1-4pm
Sunday 8th July, 1-4pm
Sunday 12th August, 1-4pm
During Heritage Open Days, 13th-16th September, exact times tbc
Sunday 14th October, 1-4pm
Sunday 11th November, 1-4pm
Look forward to seeing your pins, and meeting you at one of the Pinning Parties!
